Eric Eric Alfred Burns is the writer of Gossamer Commons. Born in a very small town in the very far north of Maine, Eric has lived in different places in Maine, in New Hampshire, in Ithaca and Syracuse, New York, and in Seattle, Washington. He currently lives in New Hampshire. In addition to Gossamer Commons, Eric is the creator of and one of the writers on Websnark.com. Eric was one of the primary authors on the ENnie nominated Sidewinder: Wild West Adventures, and the subsequent Sidewinder: Recoiled won the Gold ENnie for best Electronic Game (non-free). He’s listed as a contributing author on Recoiled, and would be much prouder if the sum total of his ‘contributions’ wasn’t stuff from the first edition of the game which they rewrote parts of to make it sound less like the somewhat urbane Bat Masterson and more like Festus from Gunsmoke. But Hell, they got the gold with it, so why should he complain? Eric also writes a monthly column for Comixpedia and has written for the Webcomics Examiner.

Eric has a cat named Sarah, which is short for Seraphim Kyriotate. He has yet to notice angelic behavior from her.

GregGreg Holkan is a cartoonist, and seems to be rather pleased with himself about it. He spent his early years growing up in an isolated hamlet out on the lonesome prairie, and honed his cartooning abilities bouncing around between several different higher academic institutions across the great state of Oklahoma. He has had many jobs in his lifetime, including rodeo hand, landscaper, pizza driver, grocery store clerk, silkscreen stencil technician, copy shop clerk, demolition crew, cook, and graphic designer. However, the thing he calls himself, when anybody asks has always been cartoonist. Currently, he works in Oklahoma City for Directing Design, and draws the webcomic Nemesis. Mr. Holkan has a girlfriend for whom he cares quite a bit, and a recipe for chili in which a large portion of his ego is invested. Oh yeah, he also likes to study Tai Chi, literary theory, graphic design, fine art, and pop culture.

And he has the mad skillz with games like Trivial Pursuit, Cranium, and Scrabble.

PeterPeter Venables was born Canadian at a very young age and relatively soon thereafter took up cartooning. He had trouble deciding whether to persue Fine Art or Computer Science in university, but ultimately
settled on a degree that promised to earn him six figures one day — until the dotcom bubble burst. Peter now works as a software developer in Waterloo, Ontario, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. Peter’s entrĂ©e into webcomics is a funny-animal strip called 13 Seconds that he first developed in 1992, continued to write and draw throughout university, and even published online as early as 1996. In 2004, Peter brought 13 Seconds back online after a six year hiatus. He joined the Gossamer Commons creative team as its illustrator with the onset of Chapter Three, and has since come to the conclusion that Greg Holkan wears plus-size shoes.

Also, Peter has an irrational love of the movie Tron.
