When you start a new project, you’re never really sure how long you’re going to do it. You’re never sure if it’s going to work out the way you expect. You never sure if you’ll have the fortitude or the inspiration.

And, of course, you’re never sure if it’s actually going to suck or not.

There are certain measures that the webcomics community uses to indicate success. Or at least fortitude. Maybe they make sense and maybe they don’t. I dunno.

The most famous of them, of course, is the one hundredth strip.

There are lots of ways to consider something strip one hundred, of course. One hundred records in the old archive. One hundred posts. One hundred pieces.

For me, one hundred strips, not counting fan art or guest art of any kind, is the true landmark.

Today’s strip is the one hundredth strip of Gossamer Commons, by Eric Burns and Greg Holkan.

We made it.
