Hey, at least she’s got her pride!
Obviously, when one mixes mythological and magical traditions, one gets a certain number of unexpected results. It’s perhaps not surprising that Appie and Malachite didn’t work out as a couple. Still, the question remains, in what ways are they similar and in what ways are they different?
In the end, it becomes a question of rules.
In magic, everything is a question of the rules.
Suffice it to say, as an actual goddess (albeit a minor one), Appie is capable of far more than Malachite. Well, at least when she rests within the seat of her power — the cul-de-sac. Malachite, on the other hand, has definite limits, but barring special circumstances, wards, barriers, iron gates or the like, he’s able to work his fey might anywhere he goes.
You knew the whole “Viceroy of the Cul-de-Sac” thing would come up sooner or later, right?
